I understand how difficult it can be to share your own experiences. It takes courage to commit to therapy. We will work together to create an environment where you feel safe, heard, and respected. Every journey is unique. We are experts in our own stories. As we work together, we will examine how your early life experiences, attachments, family, culture, society, and systems have shaped your worldview, how you relate to yourself and others, and how you deal with adversity. In my work, I use a holistic, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive approach. As a therapist, I believe healing and therapy are based on a holistic understanding of the whole person - your physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being.
When I’m not in therapy, you’ll find me curled up in my blanket, watching my favourite sitcom with a warm cup of chai.

Welcome! My name is Gurleen (she/her) and I am a Registered Social Worker. I strongly believe that we are all experts of our own lives. Nonetheless, this is a safe space to seek support and guidance in recognizing and using your strengths. As a culturally sensitive mental health therapist, I specialize in working with children, youth, adolescents, young adults, adults, and families. My approach is welcoming, empathetic, and flexible, creating an environment where clients feel truly heard and understood. I am an active listener, attuned to each individual’s needs while balancing a collaborative and challenging approach to foster growth. My sessions are non-judgmental and inclusive, infused with warmth, humour, and a comforting presence.
My goal is to help minimize the stigma surrounding mental health while working with clients to explore their emotions, overcome challenges, and embrace their authentic selves—without fear of judgment. No matter where you’re at, I’m here to support you. Taking the first step toward therapy might feel a little scary, but hey, look at you—already being brave! If you’re ready to dive in, I’d love to be part of the journey. Your future self will probably send you a thank-you card.
A bit about me: Outside of my work as a therapist and mental health advocate, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, staying active (whether outdoors, at the gym, snowboarding, golfing, etc.), and seeking new experiences. Whether trying new foods or travelling, these opportunities allow me to immerse myself in diverse cultures.

Do you replay conversations long after they end, wondering if you said too much or not enough? Do you carry everyone else’s emotions like it’s your responsibility, yet feel unseen when it’s your turn to need support? Perhaps you are the peacemaker, the “strong one,” the person others lean on, while quietly asking yourself, “Why does it always fall on me?” Perhaps you are also holding grief: the loss of a relationship, a friendship, a pet, or someone you loved deeply.
If you feel stuck between overthinking, over-giving, and holding yourself together in silence, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I work with individuals and couples from diverse racial, cultural, and religious backgrounds who are navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, and identity-related stress. As a South Asian therapist, I hold a deep awareness of how culture, family systems, and unspoken expectations shape emotional experiences. Book a FREE phone consultation, let’s explore your inner voice without toxic shame or guilt.

I am a huge advocate for seeking help through challenging phases in our life. It is normal to experience complicated emotions and feel lost and disconnected sometimes. It is monumental to understand that struggling with mental health does not make us weak but makes us normal! If you have a mind- you have mental health, and we all struggle with mental and physical health at some point. I am a firm believer in the mind-body connection- our body ascertains and embodies the signs when we are struggling.
Therapy is a journey filled with stories, memories, moments of realization and self-discovery. As we embark on this journey, I will help you raise more awareness about yourself and build a better relationship with your truest self. After working in England for 4 years with adolescents and young adults. I went back to Pakistan, where I worked extensively with the same age group. I helped young individuals struggling with Addiction, Anxiety, Body Dysmorphia, Depression, Eating Disorders and helped them explore their gender and sexuality.

I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and have experience supporting children, youth, and adults through a wide range of mental, emotional, and relational challenges. In my work, I understand how deeply cultural, generational, and systemic influences can shape the stories we carry about ourselves.
I believe that healing occurs in relationships, whether this be with ourselves, our community, or the systems we occupy. My goal is to co-create a therapeutic space that honours your lived experience and equips you to live a life that feels aligned with your values.
Getting to explore different perspectives is part of why I do this work. When I’m not asking clients how they feel, I immerse myself in different point of views by reading YA fantasy and writing cultural analyses. I also enjoy running outdoors in the company of friends (or a carefully curated playlist).
